ng is digestive health, which includes the efficient operation of the intricate system that breaks down food, absorbs nutrients, and eliminates waste.

The stomach, intestines, and liver are among the organs that make up the digestive system. It is essential for preserving the body’s nutritional balance and energy levels. The body needs proper digestion to process food and get rid of waste, and problems with this system can cause a number of health problems. Maintaining a balanced, healthy existence requires knowledge of the common issues that can occur and how the digestive system functions.

IIT Director Emphasises Lifelong Learning and Innovation

During his address, Dr. B.S. Murty drew from Indian cultural values, noting how society views doctors as manifestations of the divine, “Vaidyo Narayano Hari.” He compared this sacred status to that of teachers, saying that while teachers transform lives, doctors give life itself.

“Learning is a lifelong pursuit,” Dr. Murty told the graduating doctors. “The day we stop learning, we cease to be teachers. Knowledge evolves, and so must we.”

He pointed out a significant gap in India’s medical technology sector. Most medical devices used in Indian hospitals are still imported. To address this, IIT Hyderabad has started an M.Tech programme in Medical Device Innovation, bringing doctors and engineers together to develop indigenous solutions.

Dr. Murty encouraged the medical graduates to consider research and innovation. “There is tremendous potential for collaboration between us to drive innovation, make healthcare more accessible, and build a self-reliant India,” he said.

Apollo Leader Talks About AI and Technology in Medicine

Dr. Sangita Reddy spoke about the rapid changes happening in medical technology. She described how healthcare is shifting from merely observing symptoms to interpreting signals from ECGs, wearable devices, and continuous monitoring systems powered by artificial intelligence.

“Soon, our ICUs will be guided by early warning systems that can predict and prevent complications before they occur,” she explained. But she reminded the graduates that technology alone isn’t enough. “The true essence of healthcare lies in the blend of science and soul. When you put your heart into healing, when compassion meets innovation, that is when healthcare reaches its highest purpose.”

University Vice Chancellor Praises Apollo's Vision

Dr. P.V. Nanda Kumar Reddy acknowledged Apollo’s position as an iconic name in Indian healthcare. He credited this reputation to the vision of Dr. Prathap C. Reddy and the continued efforts of Dr. Sangita Reddy in recent years.
